Parks Victoria Marine Monitoring Program Reports
Parks Victoria have undertaken analysis of 20 years of monitoring data, reporting on long term trends in the health and status of fish, mobile invertebrates and macroalgae populations.
- comparisons of key fish, invertebrate (including southern rock lobster and abalone) and key habitats inside and outside marine protected areas based on baited underwater remote video and reef life survey
- assessment of the representativeness of habitat inside our marine protected areas and comparison of the effectiveness of MPAs for biodiversity protection,
- improved habitat mapping for key marine protected areas (Wilsons Prom, Bunurong and sections of Port Phillip Heads) … plus lots more!
