The ABM, in collaboration with the Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) provided a submission in response to the draft Coastal and Marine Management Plan Guidelines.
Victorian Recreational Boating Strategy
The Victorian Recreational Boating Strategy sets the vision for the future of boating In Victoria. Each year, action plans will advise investment into boating from the Better Boating Fund, which returns all money collected from licence and registration fees back into upgrades to improve the boating experience.

Personal Watercraft and Jet Skis
The ABM called on Maritime Safety Victoria, Parks Victoria and Water Police to increase education, patrolling and enforcement of personal watercraft (jet skis); and undertake a review of existing boating and swimming zones to improve safety across the Bay
Ban on single use plastic bags
The Association of Bayside Municipalities (ABM) called on the Victorian State Government to join South Australia, Tasmania, Northern Territory, the ACT and Queensland in passing legislation to ban the distribution of free single use plastic bags.
Environmental Management Plan for Port Phillip Bay
