Advocacy

The ABM, in collaboration with the Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) provided a submission in response to the proposed reforms, and the issues and opportunities for local government.  The new Act replaces the existing Coastal Management Act 1995 and provides a simpler, more integrated and coordinated approach to planning and managing the marine and coastal environment.  The Marine and Coastal Act 2018 came into effect 1 August 2018.
